Saving Tinderella is an original tragic-comedy about online dating written by Afifi and Cooper. Alex, a millennial, is out there trying to find love. Her Uncle advises she gets more realistic with her profile description. On an unexpected date with a spiritual guru Alex inadvertently conjures up her dead Grannies. Alex is trying not to repeat her old dating patterns. But still, she slips up by re-dating her Narcissist ex. Her ancestral ghosts are not pleased. She tries again, she goes speeds dating, tinder dating, any type of dating you can think of. She meets nice guys, weird guys and all the ones in between. Meanwhile we get to hear about what dating, romance and love was all about 200 years ago, during World War II and male gay love in NYC in the 1950s from her relatives. Saving Tinderella is a hilarious and heart warming romp of dating disasters, delightful surprises and the complexities of love. We watch Alex make mistakes, repeat them and hopefully, with the support of her loved ones, she is able to make better choices. 

Saving Tinderella has recruited 100% grass-fed theater talent in Central Vermont. Bringing an accessible and intelligent tragic comedy to Central Vermont. Already a series of Saving Tinderella performance have been completed in the UK. This is the USA version of the show, including a new song by local musician Chad Hollister. It is a mix of witty writing, good music, dance, song mixed in with family love, drama and high-camp humor.
