Marble Valley Players

(Company) West Rutland Town Hall, 35 Marble St, West Rutland, VT, USA

Marble Valley Players is Vermont’s oldest continuing community theatre group, founded around the turn of the century in Proctor, Vermont. It was then known as the Community Players. In the 1920’s, the group took the name Proctor Player’s Club and for a considerable length of time was responsible for much of the comedy, drama, and children’s theatre seen in the Rutland area. In the early 1970’s the group became Marble Valley Players to reflect its county-wide membership.
